There are three days left of tour. I wish I could update you on all of the wonderful things that have happened since Chicago - but I can't. Nothing remarkable has happened. That's the funny thing about packing your life in a suitcase and driving around the country; sometimes you see really remarkable things and have wonderful experiences, and other times, it is as unremarkable as sitting on your couch at home (except your home becomes whatever Holiday Inn you are sleeping in for that night).

I've been gradually gearing up for my return home. This last weekend we were in Virginia, and I just could not wait the 7 days to see my family and my own, personal bed, so I took the train home. It was lovely, everything a homecoming should be, Tex-Mex dinner included.

Right now I'm listening to the sound of the washing machine as it does all 6 loads of my laundry. Somehow, it feels bittersweet. I was gone for 9 weeks, but when I come home, it appears that nothing has changed. Its easy to feel that I never left in the first place.

I am very thankful for the experiences - life and career wise - and am happy I was brave enough to pick up my life and put it in a van with 10 strangers. As for the current moment - I am completely, and throughly exhausted.

Who knows what will come next? I certainly don't. My life is an adventure.
