Iowhere?

Today we drove through Iowa, passing mile after mile of cornfield. The corn looked like it had just been harvested, and we saw many stubby and barren fields. It was quite striking; the yellow ground against the blue sky. There is a very distinct smell of corn and manure that seeps into your car while driving down the highway.

I think Iowa is now tied with Ohio for the "Most Boring State to Drive Through" paper plate award.

We are headed for Madison, WI, which will be our northernmost stop. After our brief stay in Madison, we will start to head east! Everyone is excited to spend Thanksgiving with loved ones in Manhattan, especially because we will be staying close to the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Hard to believe that there are only four more weeks on the road!
